Martin Levan is a distinguished record producer, sound engineer, and theatre sound designer known for his diverse contributions to the music and theatre industries. He began his career in music, producing and engineering albums for artists such as John Martyn 'Grace and Danger', Ralph McTell 'Water of Dreams' and Neil Ardley 'Kaleidoscope of Rainbows' , mastering the art of studio production and engineering.

​His collaboration with Andrew Lloyd Webber marked his transition into theatre, where he became a key figure in sound design for major productions including 
Cats, The Phantom of the Opera, and Starlight Express.. Martin was instrumental in advancing sound technology in live theatre, pioneering new techniques that transformed the audience experience. His blend of technical skill and creative vision has left a lasting impact on both the music industry and theatre, establishing him as one of the most influential sound designers of his generation.

Martin's work spans multiple decades and continues to inspire both the music and theatre worlds through his innovative approach to sound.
